Medicine Program
Welcome to the department of Natural Sciences at Oman Medical College (OMC). The Natural
Sciences Department is part of the pre- medicine in the MD program located at Sohar and offers
courses of Biology, Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Cell Biology,
Molecular Biology, Physiology, Biochemistry in addition to Problem-based learning and Biostatistics.
All these courses are periodically and systematically modified to meet the needs of the highly
challenging medical program.
In conjunction with the pre-med program, a B.Sc in Health Sciences program is also available at OMC. The B.Sc in Health
Sciences is designed for Medical and Pharmacy students who wish to leave the Medical and Pharmacy program for either
personal or academic reasons. Our faculty members have high credentials from well-recognized institutions and we all
strive to deliver high quality education to our young future doctors.
