Dean of OMC
Dr. Saleh Mohamed Al
Khusaiby (MD, FRCP, FRCPCH, PhD) is the Dean of OMC. Dr.Saleh Al Khusaiby is
a distinguished and highly regarded pediatrician in Oman. He was awarded his
MRCP (UK) in 1982. He sub-specialized in Pediatric Neonatology at the University
Hospital in London and was awarded his PhD from the University of London. In
1989, Dr. Saleh was appointed as a Consultant Pediatrician and Head of Neonatal
Services in the MOH, and was responsible for the development of Oman’s neonatal
services. He became the Head of Child Health Services for the MOH and Deputy
Director General of the Royal Hospital. Dr. Saleh has been an examiner for
national and international Boards of Examinations. Currently, he is the Chief
Organizer and Examiner of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health
(UK). He has published in the medical literature, has received a number of
international awards including the Charles C. Shepard Science Award from the
Center for Disease Control (USA) in 2002, and was honored by the WHO in 2004. He
is a member of the National Research Council of Oman and a member of the Board
of Trustees of the Oman Medical Specialty Board.

Dean, Premedical &
Pharmacy
Dr. Diana S. Beattie is
the Dean of OMC-Bowshar, a position she assumed in 2006. Dr. Beattie received
her BSc with High Honors from Swarthmore College (USA) and PhD in Biochemistry
from the University of Pittsburgh. Her first academic appointment was at the
Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she was promoted to Professor in 1976. She
joined the WVU School of Medicine as Chair of the Department of Biochemistry and
Molecular Pharmacology in 1985, a position she held until 2006. Dr. Beattie has
published over 150 research articles in prestigious journals. She has served as
Chair of the Physical Biochemistry Study Section of the National Institutes of
Health (USA) and a member of the National Board of Medical Examiners (USA).

Chief Financial Officer
Prof. M.P. Nair is the
CFO of OMC. Prof. Nair has been associated with the College since its beginning
in 2001. Prior to this assignment, he was the Vice-Principal and Senior Advisor
of Caledonian College of Engineering. Prof. Nair received a BSc in Physics from
the University of Kerala (India), Bachelor of Telecommunication Engineering from
the Birla Institute of Technology, and Master in Advanced Electronics (with
Distinction) from the Indian Institute of Science. He served the Government
College of Engineering (Trivandrum) from 1963-86, rising to the position of
Professor and Chair of the Electronics & Communication Engineering Division.
Thereafter, he was Founder and Director of the Institute of Human Resources
Development (1987-98), an autonomous body under the Government of Kerala,
responsible for the establishment of over 40 higher education institutions for
engineering. Concurrently, he held the positions of Director of Technical
Education (Kerala), Director of the Science & Technology Museum (Trivandrum),
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and member of the Governing Syndicate in the
Cochin University of Science & Technology, and member of the Governing Council
of Indian Institute of Technology (Chennai).
